We did an awake neck lift and lower facelift for her here at FacePlus Plastic Surgery Institute in Lubbock, TX. A lot of people are afraid of doing this while awake, so I just want to get her opinion on how the experience has been. It was pleasant. I actually just loved it — it really wasn't unpleasant at all. I mean, first of all, the numbing going in, that's just fine. And I enjoyed it, frankly, a lot. Oh yeah, yes, it is, yes. It was very, very good. And how was the result? Oh, the result? Before, I had sagging, hanging loose skin. I had no profile. Now I have a profile that I haven't had for probably 23 years. So it's been wonderful. I can't express how nice it was. It was a very pleasant experience all around, even when it was hard. So, just a little bit of background: she used to be an operating room nurse, so she knows a lot about the operation, what to expect, and the whole process. Hi, I'm Stephanie, and I just wanted to speak a little bit about my experience here at Dr. Boonipat's office in Lubbock, Texas. I had Lipo 360, a tummy tuck, and a breast augmentation done just two and a half weeks ago, and I am doing incredible. I will say I was horrified when I found out I was not going to be put under anesthesia — that was my main fear, and I was a bundle of nerves. I was like, there's just no way I can do this. And I'm telling you, I have had no pain. I never felt anything during surgery. He told me, "If you feel anything, you'll feel me numbing your stomach at the beginning." I don't even remember that. I felt nothing, nothing — and I have had no pain since the surgery. I never took one pain pill, maybe a couple of Tylenol here and there, but that is all I have taken. Pain-free, totally pain-free. The communication with him and his nurse and his office staff has just been phenomenal. I have their numbers. I can call them any time, day or night, if I had questions — and boy, did I at the beginning — but they have just been exceptionally amazing. I can't say enough. Patients travel from across West Texas for this kind of awake mommy makeover care, and I understand why.
During the numbing process, of course there was some pain putting in the lidocaine shots and then putting the lidocaine underneath. Of course, that was a little bit painful, but it wasn't that bad. Once the lidocaine kicked in, I did not feel anything. All I felt was a little tugging and pulling. And — I'm not going to lie — it was kind of ticklish a little bit when they were doing it, because my entire breast was numb. The only pain I felt was at the very beginning when they were putting in the numbing. Other than that, I did not feel a thing at all during the procedure.
I just had a breast augmentation about a month ago with Dr. Boonipat, and I could not be happier with the results. You hear about all the different doctors out there, and I hadn't heard that many people talk about Dr. Boonipat, but I put all my trust in him, and I'm so glad I did. I would do it over and over again, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get a breast augmentation or any kind of plastic surgery in the Lubbock area. I was a little hesitant at first, and I did have to make sure the sizing was right. He was very, very sweet and patient with me, and he even let me go in the room and spend an hour with the different implant sizes. Then on surgery day everything came together. The nurse was taking care of me — she was texting my mom and just making sure that everything was okay. Everything was done without anesthesia, which I prefer over being sick and put under and having to recover from that, with the brain fog and anything like that.
Hi, I'm Stephanie. Here at Dr. Boonipat's office is what we call him — and I had a blepharoplasty. Prior to that, I had very bad hooded eyelids, and that's all I could see when I looked in the mirror. It took me a long time to decide I was going to get it done, and the only thing I'm upset about is how long it took me to get it done, because the surgical experience — pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op — was wonderful. My results are the best thing I've ever done. He let me — I was awake for my blepharoplasty — he let me pick the music. We played Dua Lipa; it was great, it was fun, and I've been very pleased.
I got a BBL and Lipo 360 done, and it worked well. I'm going to post about it on the local website. It was done in a day. The team was very professional, and I'm really happy — it's the best I've ever done. All of them are great.
What did you have done with us? I got a tummy tuck with muscle repair and Lipo 360. How was your experience? It was good — a really good experience. What was it like doing the awake procedure? I loved it, actually. I don't like being put to sleep. I think it was really easy. I kind of drifted off a little bit during the procedure, and then I would talk, and then I would kind of fall asleep, but it went by fast. How's your recovery been? It's been great — really good. How was the whole surgical experience been? Yeah, it was good. The main thing was that I had some medicine beforehand and that really helped. And there really were no worries after that. The numbing procedures and everything — I didn't feel any pain or anything. The most pain I felt the whole time would have just been the shots, and maybe a little pinch here and there. Other than that, I didn't really feel any pain. Yeah, even today, I didn't even have to take any of the pain medicines. I'm just keeping them just in case.

I was really surprised — I had zero pain through the whole facial experience. The results are amazing. I can tell a difference in my skin the next day. And then now, with the lips and the under eyes — with the swelling going down — I have gotten so many compliments on my skin texture, and that I look younger. Very, very satisfied with the results. I've only ever gotten just a half a syringe of filler before. And so when we mentioned that we could put that back — [unclear: possibly referring to stem cells in the lips]. It was a good recommendation. I liked it — just great.

How was your experience in the whole process? My experience was actually really great. Minimal to no pain at all while the entire procedure was going on. Dr. Boonipat talked to me the entire time while he was doing the entire procedure, explaining everything to me, telling me everything he was going to do. It was an incredible experience to be awake for. I've never been awake for — never had a surgery ever in my life. So as a first-time surgery patient, it was an incredible experience. And that was really stressful. Usually this type of surgery is not done awake, but I believed I could do it awake with him, using the local anesthetic, and do it safely. And I honestly would recommend it to anybody to be awake during the procedure if you can handle it. Like I said, the pain was very minimal. Every once in a while I felt a little bit of pain, but Dr. Boonipat was on top of that with giving me more numbing agent, and the results are incredible. I couldn't be happier. He gave me the one thing I've always wanted. So I'm super grateful to him, and he's very trustworthy.
So, he had a nasal trauma a long time ago that made the bone of her nose basically crooked. So we finally went in to do a nasal procedure — just cut the bone and then move it. Overall, the process was actually a lot quicker than I thought it was going to be. The medication I had didn't relax me to where I fell asleep — I didn't wake up during the surgery — but I didn't feel any kind of pain during the whole process, even to the point where my nose was actually being rebroken again. It was actually a lot easier. As far as the week after, there's of course a lot of bruising involved during the healing process, but it took me about a week — I still had a little bruising after that week — but the bruising faded fairly quickly.
She had an awake Liposuction 360 with a full tummy tuck and a BBL. I just want to talk about the whole experience of doing it awake. I was really nervous going into it, but there was nothing to be nervous about. It all went good. I'd say pain from one to ten was maybe a two during this whole process. And I would highly recommend Dr. Boonipat. How was the recovery? Her recovery was good. Like I said, pain-wise — everything I'd say maybe a two — everything was really, really good. And I saw everything turned out well. Yes — really happy with the results that I have.

We did an awake facelift on her, and she just wanted to give her take on her experience. Well, as you can see, I'm here, and it's a process. With Dr. Boonipat, it's been a wonderful process: very gentle, very kind, and the staff's helpful and great about questions. And if you have any concerns about being put to sleep — I mean, not being put to sleep, excuse me — no worries. Everything was wonderful. It's the way I sought out on purpose, not to be put to sleep. So this was a plus. Anybody out there who may be contemplating going this way, I say thumbs up — do it, because it was great. I slept through it — whatever I was doing, I didn't know what he was doing, and that's the good news. Then I came out of it, and it was great. Easy peasy — it was an easy recovery as well, so for that I'm very thankful. Did you have a lot of fear — like, being afraid of having pain and having someone work on your face, and your eyes and all of that? How was that part of it? I can tell you that I didn't take any pain medication. I felt very little pain; the swelling was minimal to me. The only thing I did deal with, which I had researched, was the band of tightness — but that's normal. And I heard that if you do feel that, that means you have a very good surgeon's hands on you, and that's a plus. Thank you to Dr. Boonipat and all the staff. I know I'll continue to heal up. I feel like I see very minimal swelling left, so I don't think I have too far to go. Yes, he's at San Luis. Yes.
I was a little nervous about being awake, but it was great — I was relaxed. I felt no pain at all during the procedure, and everything went really, really well. The recovery was better than in the past, when I've had general anesthesia — that was a lot harder. So it went good, and it went by very fast. Yeah, everything went smoothly. We also partially took out her supernumerary breast gland, which she was hesitant to do at first. And the local one — I think even that one went fine; you didn't notice too much.
I had my facelift — I had a neck lift and a lower facelift on April 22nd. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I had kind of a double chin, I guess, before we started. I was really impressed by the whole procedure — I was awake during the whole time. I was able to talk to Dr. Boonipat and Cambria during the whole process and ask questions during the whole thing. It was amazing. Pain-wise, it was absolutely incredible. I had no bruising, I had no pain. I took the pain pills because I thought I was supposed to. Of course, I wanted to drive very quickly, so I stopped the pain medication very, very early on. I had it done on a Wednesday and was back to work on Monday. I even made dinner the night I came home from the surgery. Being awake during surgery is definitely kind of like the medical myth nightmare of surgery. What was that like for you? It's an extremely, extremely different experience. I don't really like anesthesia per se, I guess, maybe because I'm a little bit of a control freak. But I was able to use my arms. I was able to talk, and I asked questions during the procedure. I was kind of interested in what he was doing at the time, with the different sounds. It was just a very, very cool experience. Would you describe, as a medical professional, Dr. Boonipat's bedside manner — or surgical bedside manner? It was amazing: very caring, very sweet, cautious.
I'd like to share my experience: I would say it went pretty well. I got all my questions answered, and I knew exactly what the surgery was going to be like. Afterwards, it went extremely well. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's amazing — don't worry about anything.
What procedure did you get done here? My nose And how did you feel going into the surgery? Oh no, I was scared — but once I got here, the fear stopped.
So last time with you — arm liposuction, and fat grafting to the cheeks and breasts. And being awake in surgery is like, you know, the medical nightmare myth to everyone. Yeah. What did the surgical team do? Did you feel comfortable? Did you have any anxiety during the surgery at all? What was your experience? Sure. Honestly, when I found out that this particular procedure could even be done awake, I was kind of shocked and blown away. Then I started looking into it, and that's actually fairly common in some places. Dr. Boonipat happens to be pretty cutting-edge in this area. Yes, exactly. And all the benefits of it sold me. Well, I'm back with you guys. You're all so warm and friendly and welcoming and personable. I was like, okay, I think I've found my place. During the procedure, I asked him beforehand — I said, you know, if I get nervous, because I've had an issue before that made me a little nervous going into it. He's like, we can just give you a little more sedation to calm you if you need it. Never needed it — never once. Honestly, you guys made me feel so comfortable. And the nurse we worked with — she was great. It's funny that we had conversations about what procedure. And when I got done, I was like, okay, I'm done. It was nothing like I expected. Honestly, it was so much easier than I expected and just more pleasant. Well, it's kind of like — I'm going with Dr. Boonipat, and you and the whole staff care. I think the staff plus you guys make it more and more great. And if it makes you feel any better, you're here with a man with an engineering degree who's also [unclear] — and he's also been doing this specialization for many years now, and is board certified. You've got to think all of that can play into your outcome.
During the surgery, I had no real pain — I actually had a conversation with the nurse the whole time. If I had a question, I could call up here and you were always there. I appreciate it — it wasn't a bother. And also, the aftercare: this is my first surgery ever. Oh wow. Yeah, so I didn't know what to expect, but everybody was very kind and helpful and patient. That's fantastic. The doctor told you — every time I'm here, I have to get a massage. He comes in here one or two times and checks on me. Your procedure during the surgery? It's okay — I remember. Did you have any pain, any anxiety, anything? No anxiety, no pain. Because I think we were all just having a nice, fun conversation during your surgery. Dr. Boonipat was listening, and I told him a dream that I had the night before. I remember that. I'm really happy with my results. Thank you so much, Miss Julia.

I overall had a wonderful, 10 out of 10 experience with this whole surgical team. I had been hesitant to get an elective procedure before, because I was worried about general anesthesia — I didn't think the medicines were worth it. Then when I came in for a consult with Dr. Boonipat, he walked me through everything and explained that I could have a closed rhinoplasty while awake for surgery, and I was immediately sold. When you picture awake surgery, most people imagine opening their eyes in agony. It was not like that at all. I was given medication to relax me and a plan for pain, but I didn't feel any pain at any point during the surgery. Dr. Boonipat's team was so attentive — everybody consistently asked if I needed anything. At one point I requested some water, and an angel brought me a cup with a straw. It was perfect, and as a tired mom, I was able to take a little nap.

Yes, hello. I had an arm lift done here, and I am so extremely pleased with my results. I've had my arms lifted before. I did not get the results that I got here. The doctor is so professional and so nice, and so is the office staff. They were excellent. I was awake while he did it, and he told me everything he was doing, and the nurse stayed with us. I went to work the next day. I feel great — right after, great, and the next day, my arms look great. I'm so extremely pleased with my results, and I will always be coming back to FacePlus.

For the last couple of years, every time I looked in the mirror, I found myself hyper-focused on the signs of aging-especially around my neck. I wrestled with the idea of plastic surgery. I recently had a radio frequency procedure and submental liposuction (facetite) here with excellent results . It was a painless quick procedure using local numbing and I was actually able to drive myself home. I had initially gone there to discuss mini facelift procedure. Dr. Boonipat took the time to discuss all my options and after carefully examining my face structure and skin his opinion was that at this stage I could do a less invasive procedure and still get the results I was expecting. For reference I am 51 with fairly healthy skin from years of diligent skincare routine and healthy lifestyle but I had started to notice a hint of jowling. I am very impressed at the doctor's honesty and this to me is proof that he truly cares and is not just there for "money-grab" .The mini facelift would have cost more than double of what I paid for this procedure. As a cherry on top Dr. Boonipat, I found out, is an excellent artist and who better than an artist to do your facial procedures. I’m one week post-op after having lipo and FaceTite on my chin and jowls with Dr. Mo, and I’m already so happy with the results—even though full results can take over three months. I know it will continue to improve as the swelling goes down, but honestly—even if my final results looked exactly like they do today—I’d still give this experience five stars. Dr. Mo is truly an artist. One thing I really appreciated is that he offers the option to have the procedure done under local anesthesia while awake, or with twilight sedation if you prefer. After doing a lot of research, I realized that being fully sedated can sometimes double or even triple the cost of surgery, so having that option was a huge benefit. During the procedure, I genuinely felt no actual pain. It’s definitely an experience—you’re aware of some tugging and pulling—but it doesn’t hurt. I think most people would do just fine with it. That said, if the idea of being awake during surgery makes you uncomfortable (not because of pain, but just the concept of it), it might be worth paying extra for twilight sedation. For me though, it was absolutely worth it, and I would make the exact same choice again. I’ve already had so many people comment on the difference. When I take off my compression garment, my family, friends, and even coworkers who have seen me briefly without the chin strap are genuinely amazed at how much more defined my chin and jawline already look—and it’s only been a week. Dr. Mo is wonderful, and his staff is just as lovely. I would absolutely go back to him in the future for any other work, which honestly surprises me because I always assumed I’d have to go somewhere like Dallas to find this level of quality. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. “Mo” Boonipat and staff at FacePLUS Plastic Surgery Institute. For the last couple of years, every time I looked in the mirror, I found myself hyper-focused on the signs of aging-especially around my neck. I wrestled with the idea of plastic surgery. I wanted to truly be a reflection of how I felt. Finally, I took the first step and booked the consultation and I am so grateful I did. During the consultation, he gently pointed out that I had pre-jowl formation, and honestly-I think I committed right then and there. Like others have said, he truly has excellent bedside manner and made me feel completely at ease. At the pre-op visit, Dr. “Mo” took the time to explain forms thoroughly and even showed me pictures of what to expect after surgery. I appreciated the effort he made to ensure I felt informed. I chose to have my procedure done in-office without anesthesia. I did not have pain during my surgery and only needed 650mg of Tylenol on my second post-op day. This speaks volumes about his precision and technique. He is a true professional-meticulous about his work and compassionate toward his patients. I continue to be impressed at post-op appointments. He is not rushed and takes time to answer questions, and consistently provides education and reassurance. I thrilled with the change I’ve seen so far. I am feeling and looking “Mo” better.
