Weight Stability for Body Procedures
For any body-contouring or body surgery, we require > 6 months of stable weight prior to consultation scheduling. This helps ensure accurate medical assessment and safer, more predictable outcomes.

Step 3: Benefit Check & Preauthorization
• Our team verifies your insurance benefits and, when indicated, submits for preauthorization based on your PCP notes and plan requirements.

Step 4: Schedule Your Appointment
• After documentation and payment are confirmed and benefits are reviewed, we’ll reach out to book your consultation with Dr. Thanapoom “Mo” Boonipat at FacePlus Plastic Surgery Institute in Lubbock.

This fee covers administrative time for insurance verification and preauthorization submission. (It is not a medical service and is separate from any copay, deductible, or coinsurance.)

Why do you require > 6 months of weight stability for body procedures?
Stable weight improves the accuracy of surgical planning and can reduce the risk of complications. If your weight has changed recently, please wait until it has been stable for at least six months. Insurance companies will also automatically reject the submission without weight stability for certain procedures.

Can I email instead of faxing the referral?
We require the PCP referral to be faxed to 806-758-4595. Insurance card photos should be faxed with the referral and also emailed to moboonipatmd@facepluspsi.com
